December 7 – Community.I have discovered an artist community on Facebook & Twitter. I don’t have a community locally that I am involved in that is artistic or creative. Years ago, I discovered an inspiring woman online, and now I can’t remember how exactly – serendipity! Her name is Julie Jordon Scott (www.juliejordonscott.typepad.com). Her words spoke to me – and continue to speak to me. I have taken her writing courses and discovered a deeper self and began writing poetry – and writing, in general – writing with my heart. Julie seems to always be involved in something cool and unusual, so I noticed things she would join when reading her Facebook posts and checked them out. Eventually, this lead to that and wa-la…found many, many interesting people.
Where have you discovered community, online or otherwise, in 2010? What community would you like to join, create or more deeply connect with in 2011?
(Author: Cali Harris)
This year I have discovered many artists, writers, creatives online that strive to be that creative spark, that inspiration to others, that light in the world – and I find that beautiful! I have been inspired by their fearlessness in putting their souls out there for all to see with their authenticity.
For 2011, I want my life to count! I want to live each day in gratitude. I want to use my gifts to bless others. I want to live fearlessly. Be authentically me.
The websites that are on my “to do” list to take a workshop are:
1) Suzi Blu’s Les Petit Academy (http://suziblu.ning.com)
2) Willowing & Friends (http://willowing.ning.com)
3) Dirty Footprints Studio (http://networkedblogs.com/cHv1s)
I can’t wait to start…:-)
