Today is...

a day full of family and togetherness,

honoring my need for space

and taking time to appreciate

the sun just beginning to set

when there are so many cloudy days

I was surprised to find a whole bunch of dandelion seed heads this time of year. 

I made a a couple of wishes while I was at it.

I chose this one because he very much dislikes his picture taken 

and, go figure, he's with someone who continually takes photos 

(and he's so very patient about it). 

 I managed to get him to pose for this one...and I adore it

I took this photo on Sunday while taking the back roads home. 

 It was a weekend of reflections - driving around where I grew up & reminiscing, 
seeing long time friends, laughing at old stories and crying at the loss of a friend - 
realizing how much has changed, but at the same time stayed the same. 


 Life is full of contradictions, 
but without sorrow & hurt 
how would we truly appreciate joy & love.
