{The Beginning} this blog

Why I started this blog:

The Beginning...of Live Love 365

Since the beginning of the year, I have been contemplating ways in which I can be more aware of the love, beauty and goodness that surrounds me daily. It is so easy to get caught up in the day to day grind and not appreciate all the good things in life. It is so easy for one day to pass and the next and the next without even living in the true sense of the word...truly living.

A quote I read recently by Anais Nin said "what we are familar with we cease to see". To me, this points out that as we take the same route to work, stop at the same place for our morning cup of coffe, drive the kids to school - even saying the words "I love you"...we stop noticing, we stop appreciating, we stop thinking & feeling - we just do.

When is the last time you took a different route to work? The last time you wrote a note to your significant other or children - a handwritten note? Or sent a handwritten card? When you sat on your front porch & waved to your neighbors? When you sat outside at night & gazed at the stars? When you noticed the first signs of Spring? When you drove to the beach just to watch the sun set or rise?

You get the idea! Not sure when? When do you plan to start????

Another thing that started me thinking was a year end project I participated in called Reverb10, which for the month of December had daily prompts asking questions about things & thoughts from the year. I realized as I contemplated the daily questions that the special things are so easily forgotten and the little things that are so special are so easily overlooked. Also, I realized how there was no intention in my day to day living. I didn't seek enough adventure. I didn't say YES enough, or sometimes no. I didn't ask myself "what was great about this day" or better yet..."what can I do to make this day great".

My intention with this blog is to record what I love each day. I want to record it in pictures, but if on a particular day a quote inspires me, or an article or whatever it may be...I want to record it. I want to live intentionally to make an adventure of each day by finding what is great about it, what I love about it and what inspires me.

As said by some very wise people...seek & ye shall find, as ye thinketh so shall ye be, thoughts become things, what you focus on expands & if you change the way you look at things, things change. What do you choose to seek, think & expand?

This quote by Albert Einstein also spoke to me...

"The important thing is to never stop questioning.  Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot but help to be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery everyday. Never lose a holy curiosity."
This Live Love 365 challenge is me - trying to comprehend a little of this mystery everyday!

Today, Valentine's Day - the day of LOVE - I want to celebrate and honor it by beginning a daily love revolution...living & loving 365.
