Day 149 ~ Edge of the Light

I had taken this picture a couple days ago when noticing the diffused light shining through a window in my living room.  I began participating in LIGHT HUNTERS at the beginning of July which has made finding new light to explore so interesting.  It had been a couple weeks since I've had a chance to do any self portraits, so I grabbed my camera to capture this great light.



After looking at the photo, I found this quote that talked about light & flying, so I added some angel wings.

Day 144 ~ Lilies in the Morning

This morning on my way to work, I couldn't help but stop & notice the lilies along the path to my front door. This Spring a friend had given me a whole bunch of perennials to plant in my yard. The lilies have bloomed in so many different beautiful colors. The lilies by my front door, the one stem was so full of flowers I was amazed that they could even remain upright.  Then one caught my eye, a single little lily on a separate stem placed perfectly over the sidewalk.  The morning sunlight was shining beautifully down on it.

Despite having a dress and heels on (you can see my shoe in the second photo), I sat down on the sidewalk to take some photos...

Day 142 ~ Light Hunting

How often do you take time to notice the light during different times of the day?  Thanks to Vivienne McMaster's workshop "Light Hunters", I have been noticing light everywhere!!  I'm in my yard in the morning, noon & night admiring the light and how it can make the same flower or scene appear different, but still just as beautiful.

Here are a couple shots of daisies in my front yard - one in the morning when the sun is intensely shining bright & one in the evening with a much subdued, golden light.

Super excited to have signed up for the Light Hunters course with Vivienne McMaster.  I loved her course "Wading In" that I took in  May and can't wait for this one to start!!
