Wishcasting Wednesday

Today's' question for Jamie Ridler's Wishcasting Wednesday...
What do you wish to say no to?
This week the answer came to me quickly...I wish to say no to what doesn't align with who I am now.

“A ‘No’ uttered from the deepest conviction
is better than a ‘Yes’ merely uttered to please, or worse, to avoid trouble.”
 ~Gandhi

It is easy to say yes to many things that you feel you "should" do, but don't really speak to you.  I have this exact dilemma right now.  I have said yes to helping someone with their accounting.  Now, accounting is what I do to pay the bills - my job.  I know at this point in my life, I don't want to spend my time after work doing more work.  I know what I want to do things that feed my soul!  I want to nurture my creativity.  I have SO many workshops right now that I'm interested in taking over the next few months that using my time working just doesn't interest me.  Now, the "sensible" me tells myself I should continue doing it and make the extra money.  Errrrr.

So, I will repeat my wish again...

I wish to say NO to what doesn't align with who I am and the path I'm choosing to follow
- a path of love & creativity!

What do you wish to say no to?  Wish HERE.

As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you!!

  1. Great wish! It would be nice to figure out a way to muffle that sensible voice in my head that has me doing some things I don't want to do, as well...but I just remind myself that my life is like a garden - and in order to enjoy the fruit, I sometimes have to pick weeds and fertilize! LOL :)

As you wish for yourself, I wish for you as well!

  3. Wonderful wish! At this time of year for me in my job (fiscal year end) it is so easy to feel the "I probably should" pressure to work late. But I have a note taped where only I can see it at the bottom of my wrist rest that says... "Work to live, never live to work!" And so when my time is in for the day, off I go to home, where I can relax with my dogs, rest, revive, and do the things that help me to thrive. As you wish for yourself, so I also wish for you!
