Wishcasting Wednesday

The question for today's for Wishcasting Wednesday is:
What door do you wish to open?
I just began reading a book called "Broken Open" which talks about breaking your heart wide open and how difficult times can make us grow.  It states "When change comes we have the choice to either use it to find the eternal self that survives any change and not only survives the change but comes out stronger, better, more who we are.  Or we could get burned by it a little bit and run away from what change is really asking us to do.  What is life trying to teach me here?"

The book has made me realize how I have not let myself feel my real feeling at times - stuffing them deep inside or trying my best to ignore them.  I want to listen to what change is asking me to do & what life is trying to teach me.

I wish to open the door to my heart!

  1. Sometimes its hard for me to know what my real feelings are. If you have read my blog, you know that I have a lot of change ahead of me...and it sounds like you do, too. As you wish for yourself, I wish for you as well.

  2. Learning to surf the waves of change is one of the most important life lessons we can learn, I think - Life is dynamic...it's always changing! Another word for change is GROW :)

How wonderful aware you are, to see that you might be stuffing your feelings! Bravo! That means you can let them out - and who knows what miracles will happen when you do??

This looks like a great book, and reminds me of a Leonard Cohen song that says,

Ring the bells that still can ring
    Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in.

    Here's to your enLIGHTENment!

As you wish for yourself, I wish for you as well!

  3. When your heart is broken open, i wish for you the fullness of life that lies enclosed in that shell! As you wish for yourself, so i wish for you also.

  5. I can relate. I grew up in a Scandinavian home where emotions were not welcome, not even happy ones. My dad said if I got too happy, then the pendulum would swing the other way I would end up depressed. Of course, every time he said that, it did trigger depression. I have learned now to embrace my feelings and listen to what they are telling me! That is a beautiful door and as you wish for yourself, I wish for you as well!

  8. how gorgeous ... and i concur! breaking open is painful but glorious. i have always found that the path is difficult only because we go kicking and screaming in tantrums ... the more i embrace the flow, the faster and more organically change happens :)

as you wish i shall wish for you as well <3 g!
