Wishcasting Wednesday

Today's question for Wishcasting Wednesday with Jamie Rider is....

What do you wish to nourish?

I wish to nourish my authenticity - accepting all of me - the light & the dark!

Believe in Change

The full quote by Elizabeth Lesser says it all...
"A tender heart and a brave soul light up the path for others with the kind of luminosity that heals and enlivens. So don't worry about being good. Instead, discover how both good and bad live within you. Deeply accept the shadows even as you seek the light. Believe in change. Take full responsibility for who you are and what you want. And from such forthright wisdom, your goodness will prevail and your kindness will blossom & your heart will be healed." — Elizabeth Lesser, The Seeker's Guide
Instead of trying to pretend "the shadows" don't exist, I wish to embrace them as part of who I am.  Without these dark times in my life, I may not have taken such a close look to discover the beauty inside and all around me.  I choose to look back with gratitude, not regret - as I have wasted too many years regretting, feeling guilty or shameful of decisions made in the past.

One of the quotes from "She" by Kobi Yamada...

She woke up one day & threw away all her excuses.  Celebrate her.

What do you wish to nourish?  WISH HERE

As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you!!

  3. Oh wow, this is one of the most beautiful and touching quotes I've read in a long time. Bet the whole book is awesomeness, as well!!

How many of us try to rid ourselves of our shadows...spending so much time and energy trying to put them to death! What would happen if we took all that time and energy, and focused on amping up our LIGHT? Seems to me the shadows would take care of themslves, and we would indeed be 'whole' in our humanity.

    POWERFUL wish -

As you wish for yourself, I wish for you also!

  5. This is fabulous stuff, Sam! I am soaking it all in deeply, hoping to have it take root within me and sprout into reality in my life. This is the way to balance, to wholeness, and I so want me some of that. I am wishing along with you tonight...

  7. You're so right about regretting - it took me a long time to figure that one out. Looking forward instead of backward helps you get where you want to go.

As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you too.
