What do you wish to try?
It seems the questions the few weeks are all flowing together for me. Last week I mentioned want to start some type of mediation practice - at least time to be quiet & listen! I'm not a morning person AT ALL, so I'm thinking I should start out small and work my way into it. I could try 10 minutes and work on it from there. Since last week, I came across a recorded meditation that really speaks to me and where I'm at right now in my life that I want to use to guide me.
Another thing I want to try is a yoga class. I take pilates, and have taken the yoga class at my gym, but want to take a "real" yoga class (or maybe I should say different). There is a yoga studio that I plan to try out in September to see if it offers the type of class I'm looking to attend. I have a feeling it will be the perfect place! I'm not a runner - tried it...don't enjoy it - so I want to find an exercise regimen (like I have found in pilates) that I love doing and I can continue throughout the years.
I wish to try mediation & yoga to continue feeding my soul!
Here is a new photo I created and added a portion of the meditation that spoke to me. I have been repeating it to myself when I find my mind wandering to negative thinking. Again, it fits perfectly for me at this time and this place.
What do you wish to try? WISH HERE.
As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you!
I love this... I had a yoga thought this morning, too...maybe I ought to listen and follow?
ReplyDeleteAs you wish for yourself, dear Sandy, so I wish for you also....
Oh yes... feed your soul! Love this post :]
ReplyDeleteAs you wish for yourself, I wish for you as well.
As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you as well.
ReplyDeleteYoga can nourish both body and soul, as you you wish for yourself, I wish for you too.
ReplyDeleteMeditation is so worth it. There is a great book called "8 minute meditation" where you basically just alot 8 minutes a day no matter what for some form of meditation and it will become habit.
ReplyDeleteAs you wish for yourself, so I truly wish for you also.
Sounds like a good wish. Meditation and yoga. As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you also.
ReplyDeleteAs you wish for yourself I wish for you as well...
ReplyDeleteI have learned some meditative breathing that calms me when I am upset, and helps me to de-stress. I have taken Pilates, before, but recently have thought that perhaps I would enjoy yoga more, as it is slower and more meditative. I love the way I find my wishes mirrored in the wishes of this online creative tribe Jamie has called together!

Yoga has fed me for so many years and meditation too. Sending encouraging vibes your way that you will find the perfect yoga teacher and that all your wonderful wishes are manifested this fall! As you wish for yourself, Sam so i too wish for you!
ReplyDeletei love the photo and what it says. absolutely:)
ReplyDeletemeditation can be washing the dishes if we allow it and just 'go' there ... and personally, i almost always use guided meditations ... or music ... find what works for you, not the other cookies :)
As you wish for yourself, I shall wish for you also <3 g!

Have a wonderful week. <3
Sometimes starting small is the biggest, most important step. Those 10 minutes could mean getting in a flow that makes you wanna do it long...not out of hafto but outta want to. As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you as well.
ReplyDeleteYoga is wonderful, I hope you have lots of fun and enjoyment doing that, especially the last bit of shavasana!
ReplyDeleteAs you wish for yourself, so I wish for you too!
Wonderful image and inspiring meditation.
ReplyDeleteAs Sam wishes for herself, so I wish for her also.
Oooh I LOVE the visual and the affirmation! Perfect! As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you as well. This is something that I wish for myself, too - meditation and yoga. I'm so not a morning person, either, and yet I love the morning time. I love the quality of the light at dawn (and twilight) and I love the beautiful stillness of the day when it's just being born. So I really wish I was a morning person. That's for another wednesday's wishing. LOL! But I do think you've already got something to draw on in that you've been sticking to Pilates. I think all you need to do is start small, as you said, and slowly sneak it into being another positive ritual in your life. My very best!!
