Wishcasting Wednesday

Today's question for Wishcasting Wednesday...
What do you wish for the world?
As most people, the first thought that comes to mind is the devastation happening in Japan!  For me, this brings to mind just how precious life is and how quickly it can change in a matter of moments.  It makes me ask myself..."How can I live my life to the fullest?".  Last night I was watching Detroit 187 and the lady police officer asks another officer "Do you think most people don't know who they are?".  He replies "I think everyone knows who they are...they just don't want others to know?".  His answer really stuck with me.  Why is it we don't want others to know?  What is it we think we need to hide?

Another quote that reminds me of this was at the end of Criminal Minds, which said "If we knew each others secrets, what comfort we would find".  I believe we are all so worried what others will think of certain things that have happened in our lives or things we've done in the past.  We keep it hidden in hopes it won't be revealed because we think to ourselves we would be thought less of or maybe shunned.  To me, this quote points out that we all have mistakes, tragedies, regrets...maybe in different degrees, but still, we all have them.

My wish would be that we all could know we are gifts to this world and share ourselves, our love, our kindness, our hearts with each other.

I believe this would make the world a better place.  We are all here, now, for a reason.  If we could truly believe we can be who we are and that what has happened in our lives has made us who we are today - it would set us free.  We need to live for today - and love ourselves - since we never know when this day may be our last.  How sad would it be to hide your precious self from the world and it be over before you actually lived...wholeheartedly lived.
Plenty of people miss their share of happiness, not because they never found it, but because they didn't stop to enjoy it.  ~ William Feather
The world needs you.  Be you.  Love you.  Live life.  Truly LIVE it.
